[It’s been about a day since Vander asked Kirk out on a date. Just as Vander warned, Kirk is absolutely overthinking this. The last time Kirk was on any date was years ago before he became a vampire. And even then, Kirk would not say he was a Casanova.

Give him a genome and he can break it down within hours or days. But how to prepare for a date? Or what to do on a date? Kirk truly feels like he’s out of his depth. Give him a few Gothamite mafias to take down any day of the week.

After a considerable amount of time in his lab thinking over and over again about what he should do, Kirk gives in and goes to Hernan. He should be home. There’ll at least be some privacy for what Kirk is sure to be an embarrassing conversation]

[ Hernan is indeed home, working out how to deal with their recurring bat infestation. Surely Aurora would grant them some of their security features. The cameras at least so they could monitor who was coming near the property.

He picks up Kirk's approach while he works and notices Kirk's agitation long before he opens his mouth to say anything to him. ]

I think we've accumulated enough points to restore partial functionality to the Tower.

[ He's cheerful as he says it, but then levels Kirk with a more serious look. ]

But if your heart rate is any indication, you did not come here to talk about security features. What has you so agitated, Kirk?

[Kirk agrees something should be done about their persistent Bat infestation. These vigilantes certainly don’t seem to respect other fellows supposedly in the same line of work as them.

But Hernan is right. Kirk is here to talk about something this. He looks back at his dearest friend, seemingly stoic as always]

How do you prepare for a date?

[Despite his expression, Hernan is also right that his heart rate is elevated. He’s nervous]

Hello. I don't believe we've met, but I'm putting together a contact sheet for those of us with abilities to be able to reach out to each other easier, since we're fairly spread out for this mission. Care to volunteer?

[Kirk is glad Hernan rescued him but the beast is still weakly struggling. Luckily for all involved parties, the blood loss he's suffering from means he has no chance of getting out of Hernan's grip]

[ Hernan is ultimately unconcerned about the beast. Kirk is strong. Hernan is fortunately stronger. He's gentle in the way he sets Kirk down on the bed when he gets him home. The nanites would heal him, he just needed a few minutes. ]

[The beast is stubborn and his fangs are still out. He's weak though and won't be leaving anytime soon. The nanites in his body are working overtime to patch him up but it'll still take time]

[He reaches to try to take off his goggles and helmet]

[ Oh, his username was that easy to find. Henry is going to do a thing -- he is going to try to talk to people that he's spoken to while he has this amazing ability that is unjumbling his thoughts. ]

I don't know if you remember me, but I got you cream once. It probably wasn't that memorable, but I wanted to say that what you told me that day really stuck with me in a good way.
